The Neighborhood in Fall 1992: a town board with Rewind High, the Corner Stop, Pizza Palace and the video store, your stats on the right and the race against Chad below.

BE KIND, REWIND

Grow up. Get a job. Survive Y2K.

Every season you get a set of hours. Spend them on school, jobs, friends and fun to hit your goals before your rival does. Then move out, pay rent, open a checking account and make it to midnight on December 31, 1999.

The character picker: six types, each with two looks.

Who are you in 1990?

Jock, brain, skater, prep, grunge kid or art kid. Two looks each, your own colors and your own stuff.

Inside the video store, with tapes on the shelves and the clerk at the counter.

Rent the tape

Return it on time. Every hour counts, every block is a choice, and Trent at the counter is watching.

The City in Winter 1996: apartments, a coffee shop, the stadium and the bank, with wealth and career goals on the right.

On your own

Act 2 is the City: a first job, a first card, a first apartment. Chad, as always, is doing great.

AFTER MIDNIGHT · 2000 AND ON

Overtime: race to a million

The Y2K party isn't the end. Keep playing into the 2000s and race to a net worth of $100K, then $1M, in as few seasons as you can.

  • Own the town. Buy any of 27 businesses, from the Pizza Palace to the stadium. Run them yourself or hire a manager.
  • Mind your Morale. Work nonstop and your paychecks shrink. Have some fun.
  • Ride the decade. The dot-com bust, the housing boom, rentals, an index fund, and your rival's net worth right beside yours.
  • Beat your best. Your fastest runs go on your high scores, and in the app on Game Center if you like.

Free, like the rest of the game. Start from your own Y2K party, or fresh in January 2000.

Overtime in Spring 2003: the Hundred-K Club card, $100,135 in 14 seasons, with a Keep going to $1M button.

Where are my saves?

In this browser, on this device. There are no accounts, so nothing is stored on our side. Clearing this site's data, or playing in a private window, erases the saves. They don't move between browsers, devices or the app.

"Reset all progress" (Menu → About) erases the saves but keeps The Full Decade.

I bought The Full Decade. How do I unlock it in another browser?

Open the game, then Menu → Restore purchase, and paste the license key from your receipt email. It looks like XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX. The same key works in any browser.

I lost the receipt email.

We don't keep emails. Lemon Squeezy, who handled the payment, does: go to Find my order, enter the email you paid with, and they'll send you a link to your receipts and your license key.

Can I get a refund?

Ask by replying to your receipt email, or through the Support page. Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record for website purchases, so they issue the refund. A refunded key stops working for new unlocks.

Does buying on the website unlock the iPhone or iPad app?

No. The website and the App Store are separate stores, so a purchase in one doesn't carry over to the other. In the app, use Restore Purchases for a purchase you made in the App Store.

Does this site track me?

No. No trackers, no analytics, no ads and no cookies. The checkout window, when you open it, is Lemon Squeezy's and works under their privacy policy. Details in our privacy policy.

What do I need to play?

A recent browser on a computer, a tablet or a phone. On a phone, hold it sideways. Sound is on by default; there's a mute button on the title screen.
